Zepeda, Rodriguez demolish foes Photos: Mikey Williams/Top Rank Unbeaten IBF #13 jr welterweight and WBO #8 lightweight Jose “El Chon” Zepeda (23-0, 20 KOs) scored a second round TKO over Orlando Vasquez (15-6-1, 9 KOs) on Saturday night at the Oceanview Pavillion in Port Hueneme, California. Zepeda battered Vasquez to the canvas in round one and got the stoppage after three more knockdowns in round two. Time was 2:02. Unbeaten super featherweight Saul “Kid Dinamita” Rodriguez (16-0-1, 13 KOs) battered Carlos Rodriquez (9-2, 4 KOs) until Carlos took a knee and was counted out in round two. A left hook to the body ended it at 1:02. Super featherweight Luis Sedano (4-0, 1 KO) outpointed Ali Gonzalez (6-5, 1 KO). Scores were 39-37, 39-37, 40-36. Unbeaten featherweight Daniel Franco (10-0-3, 7 KOs) finished Sergio Najera (8-17-2, 2 KOs) with a right hook in round one. Unbeaten welterweight Arnold Barboza (5-0, 1 KO) stopped Taif Harris (1-3, 0 KOs) at 1:45 into round one.
